Outlook address book not updating
Is there any way I can force a manual update of the Offline Address Book (OAB) in Outlook or reset it completely otherwise?
In general, Outlook will automatically update the Offline Address Book (OAB) for Exchange accounts once every 24 hours.
They are stored in the following location: which itself holds subfolders with named after Account GUIDs.
When you have multiple Exchange accounts configured, you’ll find a folder for each account that you have.
This can cause the “Updating Address Book” status appearing for a long time.
Outlook is helping you complete other activities and does not allow the address book update to interfere.
We are currently using exchange 2013 and most users have outlook 2010, there are a few users that have outlook 2013.
In Outlook 2010 and previous, it is recommended to leave the option “Full Details” enabled.–For Instructions for Outlook 2007 –For Instructions for Outlook 2011 –For Common errors and troubleshooting Step 2: Uncheck the box next to Download changes since last Send/Receive.
